And from the Urban Planning Certificate and the Environmental Agreement, we found out that the &apos;authorities&apos; don&apos;t care about anything green, they don&apos;t care about the impact on forests, meadows, streams included in urban areas. 
 
 
 They don&apos;t care about Hoia, about the fluffy oak reservation. 
 
 
 They don&apos;t care about the still unprotected forest in the north of Floresti. 
 
 
 They don&apos;t care about the protected habitats of Faget in the south of Floresti, on Valea Garbaului, those left outside the protection limits of ROSCI Fagetul Clujului - Valea Morii. For which we requested the designation of the Faget Sud - Colonia Faget area. 
 
 
 They &apos;decided&apos; with a stroke of a pen that there is no significant impact from expanding with thousands of hectares of concrete over these green areas now. 
 
 
 Everything is fine, the impact can only come from climate change, not from urbanism with concrete without sewage, and anyway, climate change is not happening around here.

They are being cut in Hoia.
 
 
 They are being cut in Făget.
 
 
 What can we do to stop them?

 This huge project is planned at the edge of Făget, in an area that is currently outside urban limits and is surrounded by areas with temporary construction bans.

 #apmcluj ANMAP Cluj and #clujcounty council and the City Halls of metropolitan communes with included protected Făget areas are churning out
 
 
 - Urban plans, expansion plans extending into and beyond the protected area ROSCI0074 - Făgetul Clujului Valea - over pasture areas, over areas with medium and high risk of landslides.
 
 
 - decisions on classification stages without environmental assessment in areas where all Romanian and European laws require not only environmental assessment but also adequate assessment (SEA - strategic evaluation assessment) which is more detailed, takes into account biodiversity, and has a longer-term, more integrated, more profound impact...

Illegal logging is taking place in the protected area Natura 2000 site ROSCI0074 Făgetul Clujului - Valea Morii and in the strict protection reserve Făgetul Clujului.

 In the protected area absurdly introduced into the urban area of Cluj Napoca since 2014...

The Cluj Forest is not complete without the meadows, forests, and marshes that we want to protect in the Făget Sud - Colonia Făget area, which are now in danger of being suffocated by destructive residential projects.
 
 
 We demand an immediate halt to these destructions!
 
 
 The Cluj Forest is an essential ecosystem, hosting species protected at the European level. Uncontrolled urban expansion and infrastructure projects seriously threaten this valuable area. It&apos;s time to act to protect it before it&apos;s too late.

A natural laboratory where children and adults can learn about respect for nature.

According to Government Emergency Ordinance 57/2007 still unmodified, these logging activities, taking place in habitats of community interest 91E0*, are criminal offenses.
 
 
 Article 52(1) The following acts constitute offenses and are punishable by imprisonment from 3 months to one year or by fine: c) failure to comply with the provisions of Article 28 paragraphs (1) and (1^1);
 
 
 Article 28 prohibits any intervention that may damage protected habitats - see the picture.
 
 
 The Cluj Environmental Guard confirmed this and sent me a response that they have notified the criminal investigation authorities.
 
 
 Now we wait for justice to be served...

 Authorities have lied to us and are now stepping on us with engines and pollution. We demand the abandonment of plans to implement an A3 road junction at the Ciurila lakes

I wrote to the Ministry of Environment - Romania and to the Prefect Institution - Cluj County a letter in which I ask them directly, based on the existing laws in this country....:- if it is legal to cut in Hoia and Făget based on a forest management plan that does not have an environmental permit and, as it appears from my searches, nor a ministerial order.
 
 
 - where is the environmental permit, where is the ministerial order if they exist. And, especially, I asked the minister to intervene if she discovers, like me, like us, that something is wrong and rotten in Romsilva and OS Cluj.

Today I write an open letter, a cry for help to Cluj itself, to its people, who have frozen traumatically in the face of institutional abuse, I write to Romania which simply turns a blind eye to any abuse when it happens and could prevent it.

 We need to take a closer look at the context of the proposed amendments to OUG 57/2007 by the Ministry of Environment, both in terms of outrage and the signatures on the petition in the comments.
 
 
 Please, do not turn a blind eye to this ecocide...

The Ciurila PUG (legally represented by HCL 48/2023) is that act that would destroy (it has already begun to destroy) the southern part of Făget, as for the northern part of the lung forest, PUG Cluj Napoca takes care of it.
 
 
 And the social housing PUZ in Sălicea was also canceled (HCL Ciurila 8/2023), those that were necessary just like the civic park, before sewage and before the water network for the Ciurila villages that are still in the Middle Ages: Pruniș, Săliște, Pădureni. #lackofutilities
 
 
 I really hope that this victory of civil society will lead authorities to understand the need for responsibility towards nature. And towards the people of the villages, not just towards real estate friends. #urbanism with #mafia and #corruption
 
 
 I really hope that Cluj authorities will stop the devastating urban planning acts for nature marked as #ruralfine and 5 stars without environmental assessment... without asking any questions, without caring about what remains of nature after them... for our children.

Debate on the forest management plan with local authorities.

The Urban Planning General Plan (PUG) of Florești is being updated. 
 
 
 That commune which is already part of Cluj and where we practically live while living in Cluj. 
 
 
 An appropriate evaluation has been made for this updated PUG of Florești, which expands the built-up area by about 6000 ha !!!... up to the edge of the forests (read as attached to) Făget and Hoia, over Valea Gârbăului for example, entirely, from hill to hill.
